Glanton which is half a mile off the A697 so with no through traffic,
and just a few steps walk from the village shop/post office, pub and
bus stops, Simonside Cottage is perfect for the Northumberland
National Park, the Cheviot Hills and the Heritage Coast with its array
of castles and sandy beaches. Walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers will
particularly enjoy the cottage with its spacious conservatory leading
into the fully enclosed south facing garden. Pennine Cycle Route 68
passes within a mile of the cottage and secure dry cycle storage is
available by advance request. The owners provide details of a range of
walks for different ability levels within the National Park, the local
hills and along Northumberland’s Coast Path, though the cottage is
equally suited for those just wanting to relax and explore north
Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
